A serenade is a composition performed for a lover, friend, or other person to be honored. In this case, Nina Goerres, a true needle artist, is to be honored. Nina was my mentor who so encouraged me and I am proudest to say was also my dear friend. She is truly missed.
This is a very challenging piece for the advanced stitcher. (Nina are you smiling?) There's so much going on. It reminds me of a painted tile.
Uses Silk & Ivory, Caron Watercolours, Rainbow Gallery, Sundance beads, DMC floss for beading and Kreinik #12 braid.
