Dan'l
Webster*,
the frame-weight-frog!
A dimensional needlepoint project.
*A tribute to
"The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County"
by Mark Twain.
Dan'l is stitched on an 10" x 12" piece of 18 count
mono canvas. A satisfying project for stitchers of all
levels; only two stitches are used: the Rhodes Stitch
(named after its creator, Mary Rhodes), and the tent stitch.
Threads used are Caron Watercolors
with Mill Hill beads for accent.
When finished, Dan'l is meant to be stuffed
with up to three pounds of heavy shot
making an excellent frame-weight
and living up to Mark Twain's original.
When purchased direct from Amybear,
the stitch guide is $25.00 (U.S. shipping included).
